Welp. This weekend was definitely a success.
I had told Chad a couple months ago that I was going to St. George with some friends,
so in his mind we were spending our first Valentine’s Day apart.
Little did he know, I had been planning to go up to Rexburg to surprise him.
Things went wrong, and everything didn’t go exactly as it was suppose to, but in my
mind I think they went better than I had planned!
My friend’s called him over to their apartment when I got there, and I was the one to
open the door.
Just seeing his stunned face made it all worth it.
I have never felt so accomplished.
He was completely surprised and just stood there in awe, “what?!”
I just tackled him in a hug and it took him a minute to register that it was really me.
Best Valentine’s Day ever.
Having weekends like this last one together make it really hard to say goodbye.
But you know, I’m so thankful for these hard times,
without them we wouldn’t appreciate the good ones,
and knowing in just 2 months I get to
spend the rest of forever with him, makes it all worth it.
I’m so in love and can’t wait until the day I don’t have to say goodbye anymore,
only goodnight

Man,  all of this wedding planning is wearing me out.
Between getting the invitations just right,
to figuring out what color everyone is wearing and not to mention this long distance between chad and I,
it’s getting to be a lot.
But Seriously I would not be able to do it without my mom and dad.
I am so thankful for all the love and support I have from them. They  have had to put up with one crazy Michelle.
They know just what to say when I’m having a bad day, and they have been so very generous and patient with me.
I am such a lucky girl to be in the family that I am in.
Also,  I could not have gotten luckier with the in laws. They are so warm and welcoming, I already feel like a Hamilton.
I have been very blessed and I can definitely see God’s hand in my life.

God works in Mysterious ways

Like I said in my first post I never would have guessed marriage would be
my first adventure right after high school.
I wanted to travel the world!
I guess God didn't want me traveling alone,
 and now
I get to do it with my best friend.
Recently Chad took a job for a company that sells pest control.
Yes, I know those are always a little iffy but I am going to be positive,
because I know Chad will do amazing!
 Anyway,
Chad and I will be living in Washington Dc
for the summer while he sells.
I could not be more excited to see all the history and experience living there.
It's going to be hard being away from family,
but it will give Chad and I the chance to build a stronger relationship
 and become a lot closer.
Everyone says the first year of marriage is the hardest,
but the way Chad and I handle situations,
I have faith we can get through anything that comes our way.
I will be his #1 fan and I know he will be mine.
We will have disagreements but I know he will always be by my side, until we are
 old and grey.
So, with that being said lets get this show on the road,
only 2 months 11 days and 23 hours left of this long wait.
But who's counting.

Weird.

"We're all a little weird, and life's a little weird.
And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours,
we join up in mutual weirdness
and call it love"

Dr. Suess always knows how to say it.
I am so excited to be married to my best friend,
and fall more and more in love
 with his weirdness.
