Day 6, the last day in Paris

The last day in Paris was fun, exhausting, and beautiful.
We met up with my mom and step dad for a late lunch at this cute little Italian restaurant
and I ordered a pizza with potatoes on it.
I guess it was the specialty.
It was delicious.
Anywho, then we walked over to the Louvre because we hadn't been inside yet,
but just our luck it closed at 5:15, and it was 5:20.
But here is a picture of the inside of the pyramid.
Then we went to the Sainte Chappelle cathedral.
It was miraculous.

Those pictures just don't do any justice to how pretty the stain glass windows are.
Seriously though.
Then this is what the outside looks like.

Then we took the metro over to the Eiffel tower.
Going into the metro there was no where to buy tickets [or so we thought]
so we didn't and just jumped on the train.
Once we got there there was no where to get out of the train station without putting in our ticket to open the gate.
So Chad had to hop the gate, run alllll the way around and go ask the nice lady if we could buy some tickets so we can get through. She didn't make us pay she just opened the gate for us.
So sweet.
But then there was this other little girl that got separated from her family because she lost her ticket and couldn't get through.
We felt so bad for her so we bought her a ticket so she could be reunited.

Once we made it to the Eiffel Tower my mom's feet were demolished.
She wore some sandals that weren't very comfortable and had a couple pretty bad blisters.
Luckily I had some band-aids and some Neosporin in my bag and we were able to bandage her up.
[I was mocked for getting a new purse for the sole purpose of carrying around useful materials for occasions like this.]
We bought tickets to ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower and
oh my did that make my feet feel funny.
IT WAS SO HIGH!!
It was so pretty though.

We went back down and took a cab back over to Notre Dame, where my parents hotel was.
When we got there we decided to go get some food [gyros to be exact, they were actually quite good]. When my mom was going to pay for her and Dale's meal she couldn't find her envelope with all her money [Euros] in it.
Come to find out she remembers leaving it in the cab on our way over.
It was devastating.
I paid for her food, then Chad, Dale, and I convinced her that her money was probably going to pay for someone's sick child in need of a kidney transplant.
She felt better after that.

We finished dinner, got some ice cream, look at the cute shops, then called it a night.

Paris was good to us,
Until next time!
