Eskimos in Rexburg

Once again I am sorry for being the worst blogger ever. School and work has been taking up a lot of my time, but I love it! Being back in school has been great, I enjoy all of my classes and my teachers are so great! I am still getting use to calling all of my teachers brother or sister. Even praying before class gets started is different but I love it. It welcomes the spirit to be with us at all times. BYU-I is just such a great University. Everyone here is so friendly and just more than willing to help you with anything. It's wonderful!

So, lately Chad and I have only seen each other in the evenings because he works everyday right after class. But on Wednesday a miracle happened and we got to spend some what of the day together, and even HAD to cuddle to stay warm.
Around 6:30 Wednesday morning the power went out from Blackfoot alllllll the way to Rexburg. All of Rexburg's power was out and that meant all the classes were cancelled!! Wahoo! The only thing was that no power means no heating, no heating means our apartment was ice cold. We put all of our food that was in the freezer in a cooler and put it outside so it would stay frozen, given that is was -9 degrees outside.
We made a pile of all the blankets we had in out house and put that pile on top of us on the couch. It was so cold! It finally got way too cold for us and we decided to go get lunch and mooch off some restaurant's warm heated building. It was nice to sleep in and cuddle to stay warm.

Proof that is was -9 degrees outside

Look how cute he is with his hot chocolate

I asked him to take a picture of me with mine, so he took a video.

Then he took 17 of me drinking my hot chocolate

So I just gave up.

Then both of us went to work, which by the way I love my job. I am working at a dental office in Idaho Falls.
It is so great! All of the assistants, and doctors are fantastic and so friendly! The only down side is that is it a long commute and during the winter months in eastern Idaho, when it snows oh man does it snow. It also snows so fast that the slow plowers can clear the roads fast enough so it just ices over. It can make for a prettttty scary drive.

Chad and I finally got our cute little apartment put together and even bought a Christmas tree! It's not much but its enough. It fits our home well.

I love our cute little home, its so cozy and welcoming.

A couple of weekends ago we made caramel apples. Which were delicious by the way.

As for Thanksgiving, I loved going to spend time with our families. I am so thankful for them and all that they do for us. Family is so important and it is hard living in a different state as them, but it just makes me realize even more how much they do, and how much we need them in our lives.

My cute hubby

My dad who came up to Rexburg to visit us.

All of the nieces and nephews from Chad's side of the family, and Grandpa Hamilton.
